Volunteers are always wanted!
Are you looking for a way to give back to your community—maybe something to fill in your extra time?
Volunteering is a perfect way to help victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. There is always a need for volunteers at the Center. With training, you can become a certified volunteer/advocate and have a profound impact with people in need.
We provide a 65 hour training twice a year to volunteers. The educational training will teach you what you need to know to work with victims of domestic and sexual violence. Once certified you will be able to join our group of committed individuals and help others experiencing violence in their lives. Last year we served women, children and men by providing them with shelter, options counseling, clothes, food and just a place to stay awhile to rest their minds, so they can make decisions about their lives. You can be an important part of this process. If this sounds like something you would like to participate in, please contact the shelter at (570) 748-9539 ask for Dawn or e-mail: email@example.com . You can get a volunteer application here.
